From 1986-1989, Blackthorne Publishing produced comics with "3D" imaging, viewable with attached glasses. For their Star Wars line, Len Wein (of Swamp Thing fame) scripted the first two issues, with Glen Johnson & Jim Nelson illustrating the first and Patrick Zircher the second. John Stephensen (Blackthorne's editor-in-chief) took over writing duties for issue #3, with Cesar Magsombol illustrating. Only these three were published before they went bankrupt.
Issue #4 was written by Lance Hampton and illustrated by Dell Barras. Only 11 pages are known to exist and it's missing text from several pages. Issue #5 is missing entirely, but was likely written by John Theisen and illustrated by Jeff Jones & Dan Schaeffer. Issue #6 is a complete script, but no art, written by John Theisen; it would have been illustrated by Jeff Jones & Dan Schaeffer. |
