10/31/24 Happy Halloween! We have a new interview conducted by Brennan (Quinlan Vos) with Darth Heisenberg (ACBagel), the creator of the visual audiobook series of Supernatural Encounters, with a preview of Chapter 22, which should be dropping this weekend! Heisenberg is a great guy and Brennan does a great interview. Check out Talking Star Wars EU with ACBagel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8aKyY_SP88!
10/14/24 Site Update Parts of the Book of Sith are now better delineated as taking place form 990-980 BBY. Thank you to Sirius for examining this and bringing it to my attention!
10/12/24 SE Analysis! Brennan's seventh lore video, analyzing Supernatural Encounters is up! Check out Brennan's Breakdown of Supernatural Encounters #7: Chapter 5 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jA3EIf_KwA&t=2s
10/10/24 Site Update A few changes to the Era of Rebellion. I moved the Pizzazz strips to after issue #7 of the Marvel series, which was also better delineated, when Luke and Leia bid farewell to Han, but before #8 where Luke has left with the droids to scout a Rebel base. I also got rid of Lost Stars and all of the modern Marvel comics, the inclusion of which hadn't been well-received. And it makes sense that they take place in the DU (aka. Hyperion). I added the Star Wars #1-20 (Dark Horse, 2013) Brian Wood series to Infinities (aka. Apeiron).
Also, in the West End Games section, the two Wild Space Magazine issues, by Womp Rat Press, are now up for download, as are the complete Adventurer's Journals that Brian Bird created, which are excellent, all of which are referenced in Supernatural Encounters.
10/1/24 Site Update Thanks to Crimson for helping me to see that the flashback in Episode 24 of The Ewoks, S2 belongs prior to just before Ep 14 in the following year (due to Wicket getting his trophies).
9/27/24 Returning Guest to LegendsCon II!
The great Corinna Bechko, author of one of my favorite Star Wars series, Legacy Vol. II, which I think is some of the best space opera that we'd seen in Star Wars since Archie Goodwin. Plus, she's a wonderful person in her own right! Fans of Planet of the Apes fans can also rejoice, as she did several well-received arcs for Boom! Studios, including Betrayal of the Planet of the Apes, Exile on the Planet of the Apes, and Planet of the Apes: Cataclysm.
9/24/24 Updates! Have you seen the latest Visual Audiobook for Supernatural Encounters? It rocks! Share it, like it, subscribe!
Also, we've added the original Blackthorne Publishing Star Wars 3D comics, plus the lost issue #4 (12 pages) and #6 (a complete script). Head over to The Archives to check them out!
Also, we added the previously unpublished RPG adventure, Tower of Shadows (aka. Temple of Ooradaal) that was intended for No Disintegrations but held over for a second volume that never manifested. You can find that in the West End Games section.
Finally, check out Mara Jade, Quinlan Vos, Kyle Rawlings, and Brian Borg from Twin Suns talking EU and LegendsCon II: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjOns8SWQjU
Update: I missed this review from two months ago, and it's great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMtzQvTNaxM
I'm going to add all the SE videos to my Youtube channel, which is here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8DM32_Xy8ebStm3C0zCKjV2tPH55wz03&si=l4urzNyt9kbrWP9L I think the SE page is more comprehensive, but it's a start.
9/23/24 SE Update! Exciting news!
From Darth Heisenberg, the creator: "I am deeply honored to share the completion of Chapter 21 as part of this ongoing project. This chapter is nothing short of a profound tribute to the vast, interconnected tapestry of the *Star Wars* saga—a love letter to the universe we all cherish. Chapter 21 opens with a breathtaking exploration of the Firstborn species, a moment in the story that blends the scientific beauty of creation with the deep mystery of life itself. These ancient species, with their vast histories and unique characteristics, are introduced in a way that captures both the awe-inspiring complexity of life across the galaxy and the timeless connection between all sentient beings. The meticulous and imaginative detailing of these species is a testament to SE’s ability to elevate *Star Wars* into the realm of cosmic wonder, engaging the mind and spirit in equal measure. As I crafted this visual experience, I was consistently moved by the depth of this chapter’s emotional gravity. It serves as a beacon of all the best aspects of Star Wars—not just the battles between light and dark, but the more nuanced, spiritual undertones that have captivated generations of fans. The chapter’s intricate narrative layers evoke a sense of awe and reverence, and I hope that this visual adaptation allows you to connect with these moments on a more intimate and profound level. I have already spent **many** dozens of hours watching and editing and adding to this video, and it hasn't become the slightest bit less emotional when I again watch it in full. https://youtu.be/RoCc4ChatRw (The video premiered at 3:00 PM EST, feel free to share anywhere and everywhere! If you haven't yet, make sure you watch Chapter 20 on my channel first too, this Chapter and the last pair well back to back.)" Please like, subscribe, and share!! 9/7/24 Site Update Skyriver Chronicles posted a new essay on the Architects of SE. Check out: Strange Roads, Destiny, and Power here: https://skyriverchronicles.wordpress.com/2024/09/06/strange-roads-destiny-and-power/
Site Update: Thanks to Lance and Scott for pointing out that this section of the NJO should read as follows: The New Jedi Order (Del Rey) #1: Conquest (prologue) Recovery (eBook; collected in the Star by Star paperback)
9/4/24 Visual Audiobook of Supernatural Encounters!!
8/28/24 Immersive Audio-Book of Supernatural Encounters A test run for a chapter from Supernatural Encounters had been produced with incredible visuals and music by ACBagel. I'm frankly blown away by this, as it's of the quality I've seen done by AGM Storytime, and may even exceed that. Check it out here and be sure to like and subscribe to be kept abreast progress of future updates and chapters!
8/27/2024 LegendsCon II Updates!
That's right, the creator of KOTOR 2 (and Fallout) along with the writers of the Jedi Prince series are coming to LegendsCon II!
7/29/24 Splendid Ap and the Timeline He Messes With Skyriver Chronicles' new essay on the next section of Supernatural Encounters is out https://skyriverchronicles.wordpress.com/2024/07/29/splendid-ap-and-the-timeline-he-messes-with/. I love this exploration of Splendid Ap and the "timey wimey, wibbly wobbly concepts" in this section, which was a challenge to convey in the right way. I won't go into the nuts and bolts of it, save to say that while some things can be made comprehensible, even though they have great complexity to them, other things cannot, even though they're quite simple. There's a wonderful quote from the show Caprica that informs my approach to this: "Secrets have answers. Now, mysteries, they don't have answers. That's why I love them. They're full of endless possibilities and permutations like God himself. But if you solve a mystery, what are you left with? A secret." So I'm quite thrilled to see that Skyriver and others are navigating the secrets and mysteries of Skyriver quite beautifully.
7/20/24 Admin Shenanigans
Hey all, I just wanted to update you on some Wookiepedia unpleasantness. of_Arhul_Hextrophon#Review_and_Discussion_on_Recent_Article_Revision
What's frustrating about this whole thing is that it's simply about presenting a much more accurate description of what SE is since the former (now still current) one is riddled with inaccuracies and important missing information.
7/15/24 The Queen Herself is Coming!
7/10/24 New Archives! We are the E E E E E E Ewoks and we're now a bigger family! That's right, the English translations of the German Ewoks comics are now available! Thanks to Thomas Rathausky for his diligent efforts in scanning and translating these! You can download them from The Archives page here!
7/09/24 Site Update Special thanks to Jessica Sills for helping me add some missing entries and to Ben Wilder for further clarification of Boba Fett #1: The Fight to Survive!
7/6/24 SE Update! Expanded Encounters!! I've finally uploaded several of what we're now calling Expanded Encounters stories! These are tales and art inspired by and connected to Cult Encounters and Supernatural Encounters—as written and illustrated by you! I absolutely adore everything I've seen thus far and now have a home for them! The page is here! And a permanent link to it will be available on the SE page here. I may be missing some art or stories that you've sent me this past year, or you may want to contribute an SE-inspired story to this site. Whatever the case, don't hesitate to drop me a line here! 7/6/24 Site Update Special thanks to Ben Wilder for helping me better place Boba Fett #1: The Fight to Survive! This was a tricky series, chronology-wise, so I appreciate the deep dive into the reasons why they take place where they take place in relation to the Attack of the Clones novelization.
6/13/24 Site Update Three new rarities have been archived in The Archives. Special thanks to Quinlan Vos (Brennan) for supplying us with the Force Commander Field Guide, the Imperial Troop Transport, and the short story in the Prima Guide for Star Wars Galaxies. Head over to that page to download these.
6/11/24 Site Update A much needed new page--The Archives--has been added to accommodate the many out-of-print, unpublished, and nearly lost EU works. You'll be able to access it on the right-hand side bar for now.
5/30/24 Site Update Thanks to Ben Wilder for the correction on Boba Fett #1: The Fight to Survive. Chapter 1 takes place earlier, when Zam Wessel is still amongst the living. I placed it two chapters earlier, but I haven't had the chance to look it over in the book, so consider that placement subject to change.
5/16/24 SE and Timeline updates Brennan's SE Breakdowns is now up to #6! Check it out here: https://www.theexpandeduniverse.com/post/se-breakdown-part-6 Brennan kindly sent me some additional rare items to post, which I'll get to some time in the coming week! I want to first set up a new page for that kind of thing that will be a little easier to navigate.
Also, thanks to Gianluca for sending me timeline reminders and correcting a placement with the New Droid Army, which takes place right after Attack of the Clones (despite what official sources may claim.

And for those wondering, in case you missed it or want another set, Supernatural Encounters will be there!
3/15/24 Amazon's Supernatural Encounters So, the three volume set of Supernatural Encounters has been taken down (nothing nefarious) and will return in a new three-volume set at LegendsCon II. Stay tuned tomorrow for an announcement as to the time and place of that convention.
3/6/24 Site Construction The site is going to look weird for now, as I fix the mysterious disappearance of the right border and do some long-needed cleanup of the folders--which is probably what caused the former since I had started that process a few days ago and probably deleted an important file or something. Anyway, I appreciate your patience during this time.

Upon Upon a Galaxy! Thanks to my friend, Luke Van Horn, I've also added the two-page comic lead-up to A New Hope that debuted in the magazine TV Times Magazine in October, 1982, illustrated by Martin Asbury. You can find that here!
I'm happy to post this new piece of Supernatural Encounters art by the Canadian artist Natalie Asplund. Check out more of her work here: https://linktr.ee/NadlyJ. I've been meaning to add a new section for fan art and stories relating to Supernatural Encounters, of which I have a few more, so here we begin with more to come in the months ahead! I've been focused on editing the first of the translated Hungarian Han Solo books, but don't hesitate to send me a reminder.
2/16/24 Site News Rescued Tokyopop's Manga Silver: Perfect Evil from Infinities and placed it in the main timeline. It shows another time in which Vader got confirmation that Luke was in fact his son.
2/14/24 EU Announcement: 10 Year Anniversary of the Discontinuation--Group Project! As many of you know, I don't generally cover EU news here. There are plenty of Youtubers and other places that do that kind of thing. Our focus here is on archiving lost (and potentially lost) EU stories and EU chronology. But this is one I absolutely champion as a positive response to the anniversary of the announcement ending the EU. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mnUBGRke34
New Lost Tale! John Morton, the actor who played Dak Ralter in The Empire Strikes Back has released to me the complete version of "Escape from Kalist," initially published in a truncated version in Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back (West End Games, 1989). It was supposed to be featured in the Star Wars Insider 40th anniversary issue. You can find that on the right-hand side of the page or here.
Mystery Solved! So, the long-held mystery of who Alex Wheeler (the pen name of the Scholastic six book Star Wars: Rebel Force series) really is--and whether it was actually Jude Watson--has finally been solved thanks to the sleuthing of u/Cowboyrex1234 and u/xilban as brought to our attention by Nick Schuessler: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsEU/comments/1aqt0wc/ an_eu_mystery_or_the_curious_case_of_alex_wheeler/
The short answer is: It was Robin Wasserman, the author of numerous young adult novels and shorts.
2/4/24 Supernatural Excitement!
With the debut of Supernatural Encounters on Amazon.com has come an array of videos and discussions. As always, I'll add them to the SE page and Discord server as they drop.
Some samples include:
As always, thank you to everyone involved in these, to the editors, to the fans! Love you all!
2/3/24 Supernatural Encounters Amazon.com UPDATE! Amazon has now available to order the three trade-paperback volumes that make up Supernatural Encounters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CTGVFF19?binding=paperback&qid=1706980906&sr=1-1&ref=dbs_dp_rwt_sb_pc_tpbk. This is, of course, being made available at cost and will remain up for an unknown period of time. If you feel so inclined, please let the larger EU community know about it (on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, or other servers). There will be a Lulu.com release in the Spring, which will be a hardcover set of these three volumes, with the illustrations in Vol 3 being in color. My hope is to make these available for easy purchase on that site, but I'll know more about that as we get closer to the Spring. As to the single-volume hardcover and softcover editions, I hope to have some available at LegendsCon in 2025 (stay tuned for the dates and venue which should drop any day). These will have the *new* LegendsCon logos on them and will feature 2nd edition text to distinguish them from the 2023 editions.
Stay in the Light! 2/1/24 Site Update Added TOR: Legacy of the Sith to 3626 BBY. Also, thanks to Quinlan Vos (Brennan), the rare Battle for Theed three-page comic by Mike Stackpole is now available for download here! Check out Brennan's video about it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO_bhy6HeXw
1/19/24 Mythos Madness Special thanks again to Quinlan Vos (Brennan) for providing us with the rare Star Wars Mythos from Sideshow Collectibles, which he talks about here. Check it out and download Star Wars Mythos here.
Also, the short story, "Jodo Kast & Dengar: Preying for Time," which has been floating around the internet for awhile now, has been added to the Star Wars: Adventure Journal #18.
1/18/24 T4-329, do you copy? Special thanks to Quinlan Vos (Brennan) for supplying us with the rare and hard-to-find TK-329 Tweets that were used as part of the promotional campaign for Dark Troopers! You can find them here and on the side-bar on the right.
1/11/24 A Celebratory Time Its with considerable humility and gratitude that Supernatural Encounters continues to receive love online. The fans are nothing short of amazing, creative, fun people, and they deserve the best. Join our Discord if you haven't already (message me here) and/or check out the great and growing content on SE's media page. As regards the second edition, it will be a three-volume, trade paperback set (illustrations will be collected in the third volume along with Cult Encounters, the appendices, and endnotes). Stay tuned here (or on the aforementioned Discord server) for news and updates.
1/8/24 Happy New Year! We're off to a bang this year with Supernatural Encounters related content. Check out the SE page for the complete list, but some of the recent ones include Alex's (Sombraptor) five-part interview with me,
